Random Fact About Me

During lockdown, me and my husband developed a love for high strategy board games. We have an ever increasing collection and enjoy spending hours with friends playing whenever we get the chance.

I'm Danielle, I own Willow Desk.

My experience

I began my career at an insurance company, administering pensions for customers approaching retirement. It was here that I discovered my passion for delivering high-quality customer service. I took great pride in the positive feedback I received, always striving to be polite, patient, and efficient in every interaction.

I then spent seven years at a medical equipment company, taking on a variety of roles—from administrator to sales, and eventually providing marketing support. This role sparked my interest in marketing and ignited a desire to learn more about this dynamic and creative field.

Following a redundancy, I worked as a Personal Assistant for a care company business owner, providing both professional and personal support. This gave me valuable insight into the world of small business and the importance of adaptable, proactive assistance.

Most recently, I worked as a Marketing Administrator and later as a Marketing Coordinator for a building company. I'm incredibly grateful to the team there, who supported me as I deepened my love for design and marketing communications. During this time, I also completed my Level 3 CIM qualification with distinction, further developing my skills and experience in the marketing world.

Why Virtual Assistance?

In 2023, I became a mum to our beautiful daughter, and in 2024, we welcomed our amazing son. (Yes—two under two!)

Motherhood has been a transformative experience. It’s taught me patience, resilience, and most of all, confidence in my abilities. With the support of my incredible family, I completed my CIM Level 3 qualification while pregnant and raising a toddler—an achievement I’m genuinely proud of.

These experiences reinforced what I already knew: my strengths lie in being adaptable, proactive, and thriving in varied, people-focused roles. I’m passionate about working with individuals who love what they do—it’s contagious, and I love being part of that energy.

Virtual assistance allows me to bring all my experience and strengths together while also being present for my young family. It’s the perfect balance of purpose and flexibility, and I’m excited to support others as they grow their businesses and reclaim their time.

What's my five year plan?

  • To be a go-to Virtual Assistant for Animal Professionals and Small Businesses.

  • To take on associates to offer more skills and services to my customers

  • To offer a full accountancy package

  • To train others to become Virtual Assistants
